readings presentation
Each student will give a presentation on a set of readings on the assigned week. We will choose readings and weeks in a meeting at the start of the term. Here are some guidlines for preparing your presentation:
  • Identify the most important ideas from the readings.
  • Raise key concepts.
  • Address challenging math, where appropriate.
What do the equations mean? How do they work? Build an intuition.
  • Connect ideas in the readings to other relevant research.
  • Raise critical questions.
  • Incite discussion.
  • Use powerpoint to focus your presentation and our discussion. Never read from it.
  • Time is limited! Have a clear idea about how much time you want us to spend on each area.
