In Ghana, traditional music is often composed in call-and-response form. The lead drummer plays one phrase and the supporting drums play an answer, creating a vu gbe = drum language conversation. Vocal songs in Ghana, and in the African-American diaspora, are often composed in the same form. | |

In "Tele", the call-and-response form is combined with Andruid's percussive poetry technique. Percussive poetry is performance in which spoken words are delivered with well-defined rhythms. Voices interlock musically, perhaps with other instrumentation, to form a complete musical statement. |
