Develop and present a summative evaluation for your system.
Invoke, with depth, the qualitative or quantitative methods that we've
discussed in class.
Collect your data thoughtfully. Develop a thorough analysis.
For a quantitative evaluations, the quantitative methods must be rigorous. Subjective evaluations
quantified using Likert scales are not sufficient.
Use one or more of the quantitative methods that we have discussed:
creative ideation, information discovery, or protocol analysis.
Use subjective user experience data to support the harder data.
Gather subjective quantitative data with quantized Likert scales.
Gather qualitative data with open-ended questions, using questionnaires and/or
semi-structured interviews. For this data, pick a balanced set of
exemplars. Report trends.
For a qualitative analysis, use grounded theory methods. Develop
codes to categorize the data.
Turn in 2-4 pages. Include graphs, and statistic analyses of validity.
You should definitely get my input on the details of your study
design, as a confirmation step before you collect much data.
