Step under the spotlight, and show your stuff! In each of the three Functional Prototype Demo deliverables, you and your team will demonstrate your latest and greatest functionality to the class. Software architecture, algorithms, interaction design, concept, and human experience are all in play. The best projects will synergetically connect these components, which will be addressed in discussion, as well as in practice.
In addition to explaining what has been accomplished, describe what has been difficult. Let us know what went as expected and what arose that was unexpected. Project development is often non-linear. Unexpected issues arise. We will learn to confront and embrace them.
The job of the professor and the class is to provide feedback. How have hard problems been addressed? What new solutions will be optimal? What new problems can be posed? The role of the demos delvierables is to provide a context for evaluating your progress, and to stimulate your subsequent development.
This deliverable is about design and functionality, in support of concept and intention. You can include flowcharts in your presentation, but they are not the emphasis this time. No powerpoint. Focus on building "insanely great stuff." Show off. Build / Think / Learn. Wow us!
