Traditional Memes like the one shown above encorporate grid structures to their design space. Because their designs are usually similar and mathematic in structure, traditional memes generally follow Max Bill's concept of grid space rather than Lissitzky's. Text must also be simple and easy to read. Usually the characters are all capitalized with white font and a black stroke. This makes the text easy to read on any background.
